Welcome to Money & More! Glad you’ve stumbled upon my lovely little corner of the internet and want to find out more about what goes on here…
Who am I?
I’m Gabriella, teenage personal finance expert and financial education campaigner. This is the story of how I got to where I am today.
2014: I was watching the news on TV and after it ended a show called Watchdog came on. For some reason this captivated me and from then I set learnt everything I could about consumer issues.
2015-2018: I threw myself into learning about personal finance and made meticulous notes on what I learnt. I went to see the Watchdog building while on holiday in Manchester – very cool! I also remember teaching my Y5 peers about credit cards, bet they found that useful!

2019: At this point I’d started secondary school and came to the sad realisation that there wasn’t anyone else like me there but carried on. In 2019 I met Martin Lewis (one of my heroes) which was incredible. He was just as nice (if not better) than I imagined and watching that back now makes me smile.
2020: My meeting with Martin Lewis made it onto TV! I still can’t believe millions of people saw me absolutely starstruck on itv but it is still one of the coolest moments of my life. 2020 was also of course lockdown 1 and in that bizarre time I kept up with the finances and also began to experiment with writing articles.

2021-2022: By 2021, I’d not really achieved much with my personal finance stuff and got bored of having nobody else with similar interests to me so I got into cars and motorsport. I published many articles about cars and F1 on the now-defunct DriveTribe website which did really rather well – I can string a sentence together regardless of what it’s about!
2022: Motorsport and More was born, I mostly had an audience on car websites and wanted somewhere to put personal finance and business content.
April 2023: 2023 was a turning point, doing business studies at school had got me back into the finances and then I had an almost epiphany moment. Talking to my friend about the economy, I realised she had no idea that banks charged interest. Something about that didn’t sit right with me and I felt compelled to do something about it.
May 2023: I produced my first report into financial education (snappily titled Financial Education in Schools) and sent it out to anyone who I deemed vaguely relevant. In a shock turn of events, Harry Wallop took up the story and published an article about it in his column in The Times. This totally blew my mind and I realised I could do some very cool things if I put my mind to it.

June 2023: I started to work with MyBnk creating social media content and writing articles which provided good experience for what to do next and gave me the confidence to start doing social media.
July 2023: I then started to work with the phenomenal Abigail Foster, ACA which should lead to some cool things soon.
September 2023: I started sixth form and by day 2 was in the head of sixth form’s office discussing what I wanted to do in financial education – progress is being made and then I was stood in front of my whole sixth form teaching about debt.
December 2023: I got a surprise email from an MP asking me to contribute written evidence to the Education Committee’s Inquiry into financial education – surreal!
Why is it called Money & More?
Originally, we were Motorsport & More (still are by the browser) but as I’m now becoming more of a personal finance content creator and my focus has switched away from motorsport a new title was more appropriate.
Business, personal finance, financial education and F1 (to an extent) all involve money so it is a rather fitting title.

That’s pretty much all there is to cover about Money & More and me for now, if you have any questions I’m on Twitter, Instagram, Threads and TikTok where there’s even more finance content (@gabriellab_biz) and there’s a contact form elsewhere on the site.
Enjoy reading Money & More!
