My first Singapore GP sessions watched were very interesting, some excitement, a beautiful track and lots of things to talk about…
Ferrari – A good start to the fly-aways with a 1-2 in FP2. Leclerc did suffer from brake issues but still managed to put in a time good enough for second.
Mercedes – Surprisingly, Hamilton topped his first session of the year in FP1. Russell seemed rather attracted to one particular wall but still managed P5 and P3.
Red Bull – Decent performance for Red Bull with Verstappen P2 and P4 in the two sessions while Perez was P4 in FP1 but lagged behind in FP2 with P9.
Alpine – A decent day for the French team as Ocon was P7 and P6 whereas Alonso was P10 and P8 – are the tables turning at Alpine?
Aston Martin – The sole red flag of the day was brought out as a result of Stroll but he still managed P8 and P10 in the two sessions. Vettel was P11 and P12.

AlphaTauri – The news of the day was the AlphaTauri of Gasly setting on fire in an unusual way. Regardless he was P9 and P14. Tsunoda was P15 and P17.
McLaren – Despite upgrades for Norris, McLaren’s form hasn’t improved a great deal with the Brit in P19 and P11 while Ricciardo was P12 and P18.
Alfa Romeo – A great day for Alfa Romeo with Bottas in P13 and P7 while Zhou was P17 and P15. Points possible for the Finn?
Haas – A disappointing time for Haas as Schumacher was P18 and P19 while Magnussen was P14 and P13. Backmarkers once again…
Williams – A triumphant return for Albon with a consistent P16 after his appendicitis ordeal. Latifi was consistently last – nothing ever changes.
