Month 1 Review

It’s now been a month of running my little website Motorsport and More and things have been going well. I’ve achieved the aims I set and have done rather well. Here’s my analysis of how I did it.

In my first month of operation, I exceeded the expectations that I had set myself. My initial aim of achieving 100 views by the end of month one was surpassed within a week due to a higher amount of traffic from external sources (Opposite-Lock).

As a result, I revised my aim to 300 views by the end of month one which I achieved today despite the goal being significantly more ambitious.

Surprisingly, I also amassed 9 followers and received over 20 likes on my business content. Due to this, I shifted my focus towards writing about business which led to an uptick in views with around 10 views a day.

In my first month I also conducted some market research to determine whether I should rebrand the website to reflect the shift in focus away from motorsport. The results generally showed that I should keep it the same which is exactly what I have done although I have added new features and pages.

In month 2, I aim to achieve a total of 500 views with at least 5 views a day. I am also going to aim for 20 referrals from Twitter as I increase my social media efforts.
